Aarque has a long and auspicious heritage in New Zealand. Over the past 60 years we’ve evolved from supplying specialist drafting equipment to full digital print and beyond. We will continue to develop to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers.

1948 - The British firm Harding & Hallden establish in New Zealand, mainly as a coater and converter of sensitised media for the Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Survey industries.

1968 - Renamed to GAF Corp, previously part of the German IG Farben group including brands such as Bayer, AGFA, Hoescht and Kalle.

1982 - Bought by US based Richard Quintus Anderson, who changes the name to Aarque – contains the initials of his name and positions us first in the phone book!

1988 - A series of NZ ownership changes at the peak of the share market, including Chase Corporation, Anzon Investments and Solander Holdings.

1990 - Listed Australian Investment group Hancock Gore Ltd create merger with Office Graphics, Smileys Wholesale, Littlejohns, Ace Drawing Office Supplies and Aarque Systems to form Aarque Graphics NZ Limited.

1992 - 50% of Aarque Graphics NZ acquired by New Zealand shareholders the Monte Carlo Group – we become the only Aarque name remaining worldwide, retaining a brand held in high regard in New Zealand.

2007 - Going from strength to strength, Aarque buys Frontline Technologies Ltd to continue our strategic focus in New Zealand.

2010 - Aarque Group Ltd formed, with new trading brands Aarque Sign&Screen, Aarque Graphics and Frontline reflecting our commitment to specialist market sectors in New Zealand.
